 Infants

Ms. Lexi, Infants

I started at FLC in 2012 and am working towards my Early Childhood Education degree.

Ms. Viridiana, Infants

I’ve been working at FLC for four and a half years in the infant department. I have attended the trainings that the school provides and I have my CPR and First Aid certification. I really enjoy the kids and I learn a lot from them every day. When I’m not at work, I have fun with my kids and family. We go to the park and I try to do different activities with them.

Ms. Amy, Toddlers

I have been teaching skiing to 6-12 year olds since 1988, and working at the FLC since 2002. Taking an infant development class helped me become Infant Supervisor qualified. A career in Early Childhood Education allowed me to work in the building with my children when they were younger. When not working, I enjoy camping and skiing with my family. I also enjoy swimming and hiking in the great outdoors.

Ms. Jamilya, Toddlers

I have been working at FLC since January 2002. I have worked in most of the classrooms throughout the school including young toddler, infants, and now mostly preschool. I have my CPR and universal precautions and blood borne pathogens certification. Also I attended “Stories in Action” by Bill Gordh, and “Time to Sign” by Jeannette Sandoval. I enjoy being involved with young children’s lives, helping them build trust with other people and encourage them to learn new things. The most remarkable changes happen in early childhood and being part of it is a great experience. When I am not working at FLC, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter - they are a great inspiration. I like cultural events, art, photography, great outdoors and traveling.

 Preschool

Ms. Kacy, Preschool

I have been with the FLC for twelve years working with children from one to three years old. I recently took the Intro to Early Childhood Education class. I chose early childhood education as my career because every day there is something new, no two days, activities or children are ever the same. It keeps me on my toes. Outside of work I camp, hunt, hike and spend time with my family.

Ms. Betty, Preschool

I have been at the FLC for over ten years, and worked at another childcare facility for two years. I have taken Expanding Quality in Infant and Toddler Care, Intro to Early Childhood Education and Responding to Children with Challenging Behavior. I love working with children and want to do something meaningful with my life. When I’m not working, I’m riding bikes, swimming, aero boxing, walking, doing step aerobics or snowshoeing.

  Ms. Sandra, Preschool

Ms. Rhonda, Preschool
I have 21 plus years of teaching experience. I’ve taught in both private and public schools before moving to the Eagle Valley. I‘ve been at FLC for three years now. Recently I have participated in the following classes and workshops: Guidance strategies for Children, Art and the Child, Intro to Early Childhood, Infant/Toddler Supervision, Handwriting without Tears. I enjoy teaching, I like helping this age children learn and explore. I encourage curiosity and foster friendships. When I’m not at work I spend time with my husband, dog and cat. I also enjoy visiting various places in Colorado, usually camping.

  Ms. Lisa, Preschool

Ms. Briana, Preschool Teachers Assistant

I have been a volunteer at the Family Learning Center for five years, and a Teacher’s Assistant for over five years. I enjoy working with kids – reading, drawing pictures with them, and seeing their happy faces! At home, I play with my puppy, bake cakes, help my mother and participate in Special Olympics.
